2. That hideous tin with caramel/cheese/butter popcorn-keithface
Tastes so good but you never know where its been, how its made, or even how old it is. Nothing says Christmas like a 3.5 gallon tin of popcorn.
Nah, don't plan on getting another bike right now (no job = no $$$).
The difference is about $40 to $60. Ask Nanna for more Christmas money.-clutch
grandparent money FTW!
+1 Raleigh Rush Hour. I think its one of the cleanest looking entry level fixed gear bike.
^Those aren't track drops.-rijlau
def. not track drops.
These are track drops (Velodrama & Deda Pista):
*the velodramas come in black, white, and pink.
Ive had a pair for a year. They are decent. Id say go with the Weinmans if you dont have much cash. My bad experience with my Weinmans was that they faded with the sun. On the other hand I do like the fixed/fixed hub.
Crappy super floppy Airwalks & Asics... hopefully soon some clipless shoes.
Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow & a lockring
Good Ride... I'll make sure to get a better lockring next time. =)
Beagles FTW!!!!
Trixie - tan and white Beagle (pure-bred)
--I cant have pets at my apt. so it lives at my parents house in NorCal.
how much for the Track Drops and stem?
the girl 2nd from the right; you can see her bush. =)
i have a question about locks now. You guys know the mini kryptonite u-locks? are they big enough to lock around the frame, back wheel, and most bars or whatever i decide to lock it to?-garbanzo
I have the bigger Bulldog Mini (similar to Kryptonite), it would work well for normal bikes. I have a bike with Aero tubing so it barely fits to lock up the bike and the back wheel. Don't expect it to lock up on anything besides a bike rack (or similar sized stuff). The mini u-lock is def. much stronger than a med. gauge cable and also harder to crack than a big u-lock.
When going on long rides, drink at least 16oz. of water coupled with an energy bar. Eat before you're hungry and drink before you're thirsty to prevent any pangs during a ride. This will also help later on for recovery and muscle development.-okheydei
+1. Biking while hungry/thirsty is just a bad experience. IMPORTANT, make sure it stays fun.
NO FAST FOOD=HEALTHY LIFE-cheers-slanaker
Yeah, Fast Food and Beer are the 2 reasons why I don't get fit from all the riding I do... lol
I would say go on group rides (start w/ a slower ride). Being in the group makes you push yourself. Im not willing to change my diet so i havent got much more fit but it did make me a faster rider. Also, ride your bike whenever you can & ride fast wherever you go. If you gotta go to the bank, take your bike; etc.
Thunder Tuesday was a great ride. Good Pace & Good People, cant ask for more. I will definitely have to make it out next week.
if your gonna skid Id say to go with the Soma Everwears.
That sucks. I'll def keep an eye out. Hopefully your friend got his bike registered so the serial is under his name.
Appel!
Bring my shirt to classy plz. I promise I'll be there.
Thanx!
I say if you are gonna throw it out, might as well try fixing it so you don't have to buy another frame. If its sentimental, you can hang it on the wall or something (track bike is way better than any poster)
