I didn't mean it like that just meant that I would talk shit. Maybe the first in my group of friends but by no means the first person anywhere. Damn I guess I should have payed a little bit more attention proof reading. Jumpy jumpy

Well, it just seemed like you were outright bragging like many people do. It just didn't appear relevant to the rest of the story anyways. Thanks for explaining, and I think you're a nice guy so I guess that it was weird to hear you start out your story like that.

And I don't see why everyone else was so up in arms about what I said.

I have always loved riding bikes. . .since I got my first little black Schwinn cruiser at 5 years old. But about 3 and a half years ago my older brother started making fixed gears. He found me a sweet old 1970's Nishiki road bike at a swapmeet. I kept the gears & brake on since it was my first road bike.He cleaned it up for me and I road that for a year and half, it was such a great bike. I decided I wanted something smoother & I was definitely over dealing with gears and had learned alot from my brother about fixed gears. So after selling my road bike I purchased a new simple bike off Ebay, no fancy brand or anything and was really happy with it...still am. So haha, there's my 2 cents on why I decided to get a fixed gear.

I was at a Paramore concert and saw the roadies doing track stands and backwards circles outside of the band's trailer. I was instantly intrigued. And thus, my journey into fixed gear riding began.

well yes, it was. the sound was really terrible, we were in the back of the concert venue and it was really quiet, i mean i could barely hear the band. my good friend was a fan and they were playing during the oc fair so he made me go with him.

That's not really reasonable, there's more asians than white people that ride in Orange County.

ive been riding bmx for 18 years, and when i was almost 13 my buddies older brother and i had some trails in northern indiana. he was a messenger downtown chicago, and asked me "want to make money, and ride your bike all day?". duh, so he handed down a miyata 1000 (which if you dont know is a REALLY nice road bike, and kinda hard to come by in good shape) and we converted it to a suicide. thats where it started. i then built up a colnago olympic conversion, then yojimbo's garage helped me get my first brigestone. almost 10 years later im here hahahaha

now i can ride everyday of the year, comfortably. love it
