General Education: Q & A
alright thanks
the weight of a regular 30mm deep velocity deep v is 520g per rim and the new 43mm deep b43 weighs 770g per rim . so would the extra weight of the b43 make yo slower than the deep v's or will the aerodynamic advantage of the b43 over come the rotational weight and make you faster?

^That's a very grown up question and the answer is YES.
but I think what you're really asking is...
At what speed do the aerodynamic properties of a B43 activate and become fully effective/efficient?
I like much them more than my horrible stock rims I had previously. The only negative feedback is it doesn't take well to side wind ie: riding westminster blvd towards lbc, I was almost knocked over in the shoulder. I feel even the slightest side wind a lot more.
side wind

Cross Wind.
I'm not good with tech terms but I think we get the picture.
Thank mr t

nothing personal jon you're just the straw that broke the camels back.
Answered a bunch of questions and built up an IRO for a noob today, subtlety and grace is out of stock till tomorrow morning.
No worries mang.

I believe its normally in the high 20's.
so the b43's are woth the extra $50, right?
if you want an extra .5 lb of weight, then yeah totally worth it

If its on the street just do what you think is cool.
...and I'm happy.
Plus everyone has deep v's these days. And one areospoke. Separate from the flock before they're the next big thing like omgZZZZZ!
I think its worth it. I just fuck it, what's another 20 bucks a rim?...and I'm happy.Plus everyone has deep v's these days. And one areospoke. Separate from the flock before they're the next big thing like omgZZZZZ!

what?
I didn't feel like reposting this time and I can't edit either.
Its suppose to say "I just SAID, fuck it..."
I really need WIFI at my house. Its quite convinient to have the internet on a phone but not for everyday use.
More rotational mass = slower acceleration/deceleration.
However, it would be easier to hold on to the momentum when you get enough of it.
B43s are not meant for speed. It's target audience are the 700cmx'ers and bike polo players. Besides, at that deepness, you might as well go carbon to cut down on weight. If you're looking for speed and something that sticks out among the ubiquitous Velocitys and Weinmanns, go for quality box section rims. Definitely underrated.
if the fork that comes with my frame has a axle to crown length of 365mm and i change it with a fork that has an axle to crown length of 370mm will it make much of a difference to the ride or gyometry.
So why is it when you're riding and you jump off something your crank stops spinning, but when you're off your bike and you spin your wheel it keeps going? doesn't make sense to me.
its cause you stop pedaling, keep pedaling in the air if you want your wheel to keep spinning. your front wheel doesnt stop
