awesome thats exactly what I wanted to know thanks DJ
What gearing do you rock?
[url]The chart shows the gear inches and skid patches. Great tool to use when thinking about what gearing to get.

As stated before in this thread, the chart is helpful; but, it is based on 27" tires. If you are running 700's your gear inches are going to be different. The link that DJ posted around the first or second page is most accurate.
48x16-sprinttt
1 skid patch for the win ;)
I was riding 48x16 for the longest time, now I'm finally rockin' a 48x17. More skid patches, more spins, and more hills. *and thanks for the cog Jason.
45x16
48x15
52x19 yo
Upped to 49x15 and 49x16
49/16. Has anyone tried 46/16 or 15 before? I'm interested to see how it compares.

I rock 46 15 now. It feels pretty light, but i came down from 53 17. Its good up hills for sure, but down them I wish it didnt spin so hard. Good flat ratio too. try my bike sometime if youd like.

Thanks Doc, I will try yours out when I get a chance. Ideally, I just want to move down to a 48 or so. My chainring's 4mm's away from my chainstay and I worry it might scratch it again. the 46 15 ratio's for my old conversion that I gave to my friend. Will you be doing any rides tonight?
I might do the Fullerton ride tonight, but I'm not sure...
Come out to Triangle Square in Costa Mesa if you can. You let me know a head of time, there'll be a beer in my bag waiting for you tonight.
